| Nurse Maude

Nurse Maude was established in 1896. It provides nursing, homecare, and support so people can stay in their own homes and communities and inpatient care in its hospital and hospice.
In order to achieve this, Nurse Maude provides a diverse and specialised range of customer-centered nursing services backed by a significant investment in training, technology and support services to meet the needs of its patients and clients.
Nurse Maude can assist with Homecare for anyone recovering in their own home from an accident or surgery, those who have been assessed as needing support, and those with a life-limiting illness.
If you're just out of hospital or need additional support around the home, we may have just the thing to make life a bit easier. Nurse Maude has two Health & Mobility Supplies shops in the Canterbury area with equipment and products you can hire and buy to maintain your independence in your own home.
Specialised hospice palliative care is provided free of charge to patients in the community and the Nurse Maude Hospice. In the community patients are cared for by their own GP, while in the hospice they may be cared for by their own GP or the hospice doctor.
A Family Support counselling service is free of charge to anyone who needs counselling and support for grief, loss and bereavement and allows patients and their families to access confidential, neutral and non-judgemental counselling.
Nurse Maude also have Hospice shops where every week hundreds of quality fashion garments and accessories move through the shops thanks to the support of the community.
“Caring for the people of Canterbury since 1896.”
