I was brought up in Kaiapoi and am passionate about the opportunities Kaiapoi offers. Our family of me, my wife Janine, and our four boys moved back to Kaiapoi over twenty years ago as Kaiapoi is a great place for families, with a range of sporting and cultural activities, and has a wonderful history. After serving for ten years on the Kaiapoi High School Board of Trustees, I was elected to the Kaiapoi – Tuahiwi Community Board in 2016. I am a keen photographer and currently treasurer of the Kaiapoi Photographic Club.I am a professional civil engineer, and have had senior engineering and management roles, mainly in the private sector. I am currently the Property and Risk Manager for a large Rangiora based company. While I was initially appointed to the KPA as the Council representative, I joined the KPA as a member to work with other members to ensure that Kaiapoi has a vibrant and successful business community. The key challenge for the KPA is to work with the business community, and the council, to implement an exciting, and practical, long term plan for the town centre.
