Hamish Keen


I have been involved in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. Starting as a Pot washer at Riccarton racecourse, through to becoming a fully qualified Chef. I have spent 10 years in the London, UK & Europe where I was managing Bar’s, Restaurants & late-night Venues with capacities well over 1000-1500 people. I have held every job you could possible imagine in the Hospitality industry.

Managing teams of up 50-60 people; front of house staff, kitchen staff, security teams, bands & DJ’s gave me a passion for looking after people, with the pride of delivering good fun service along with passing on our experience to our staff at CBK.
I left London to come back to Christchurch in 2012 as General Manager of a well-known Bar/Restaurant beside Riccarton Mall for 5-6 years. I researched North Canterbury & found Kaiapoi as a place to open our first business as owner.

Kaiapoi & North Canterbury have a very positive future ahead & I am happy to play a positive part in growing our community.
